VELONEWS GETS UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH THE GIANT MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM!
|
VeloNews online has posted a terrific feature about the weeklong Giant MTB Team camp that just finished at Woodward West in the mountains above Tehachapi, California. The Giant North American and Global pro MTB teams were introduced to the media at the camp, and the first media hit has come from Matt Pacocha, who does a great job of capturing the spirit of the camp and the pros in attendance.
If you ever have the chance to meet any of Giant’s MTB pros, you’ll discover right away that these aren’t your typical professional athletes. For one thing, they’re all really nice. For another, they all have interests outside of bike racing. Here’s a sample of Pacocha’s article: “Giant’s racers are have stories that go way beyond intervals done with supplemental oxygen and how many joules of work they racked up during the off-season. These guys (and girl,) have stories that would make real mountain bikers proud: big mountain skiing, fast car driving, motorcycle riding, beer drinking stories.”
