Rabobank's Denis Menchov wins Giro d'Italia

The 100th anniversary of the Giro d’Italia(Tour de Italy) finished in Rome on May 31st. Denis Menchov of Team Rabobank secured the overall victory at the Giro d’Italia with his GIANT bikes. The victory is important both for Denis Menchov and Giant. Giant’s outstanding racing road bikes, TCR Advanced SL Team and Trinity Advanced SL, are proved again in the Giro d’Italia, one of the most difficult racing competitions in the world.

Denis Mehchov, a 31-year-old Russian, one of the best racers in Team Rabobank. In the 21 days, he had been in the first position for nine days. In the 14.4-kilometer final stage TT, Menchov crashed on rain-soaked cobblestones. The accident brought worldwide fans some tension and led him to a 10th place in final stage. However, a quick bike change allowed Menchov to hold off Danilo Di Luca of Italy by 41 seconds in the overall standings.

The top machine, which brings Denis Menchov good performances, are Giant’s top road bikes, TCR Advanced SL, and Trinity Advanced SL. TCR Advanced SL, a superstar in global racing competition, is made of aviation-level carbon composite materials. The strong frame weighs fewer than 1000 grams.
