HELEN JENKINS CLIMBS WORLD RANKINGS

2008 World Triathlon Champion Helen Jenkins moved up to 5th in the ITU World Rankings after another strong performance this weekend in Kitzbuhel.

The Giant triathlete was comfortably out of the water in the first eight and then worked hard to break up the large bike pack on board her Giant TCR Advanced SL. Despite having been ill in the morning she ran with the series’ leader, Australian Emma Moffat for the first 5km, before being caught in the final 1km by a group of three to finish 5th. Moffat meanwhile made it her third back to back win.

The 5th place finish takes Helen up to 5th in the ITU World Championship Rankings after race four of eight, with 1710pts.
