GIANT MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM WORLD CUP 2

Durbach in South Eastern Germany was the home away from home for Giant MTB Team this weekend. Adam Craig arrived following 10 days of solid training in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa following World Cup 1 while Oli crossed the English Channel on Thursday and globetrotting team mechanic Joe zigzagged his way across the Atlantic after a successful weekend at Sea Otter.

Situated in the black forest region, the team stayed at the familiar Ferienhaus Wörner, surrounded by
rolling hills covered in vineyards, orchards and forests. There were no complaints about the amazing views,
blossom trees and warm sunshine - Spring was definitely in the air!

“The riding is awesome here,” Oli reported “the course is rad and I was chuffed after my first practice lap.”

Adam knew the course like the back of his hand; “It has everything you want: it’s fast with a good amount of technical terrain, fun banked turns and nice trees on the lower part of the course.”

Race Results:
Adam finished 14th after riding an aggressive first lap from starting in 49th position and continued to ride within the top 15. Oli backed up his 22nd in South Africa with 29th and is looking forward to the hills of Houffalize.

Next stop for the Giant Mountain Bike Team is Houffalize, Belgium next weekend which will play host to World Cup 3
