Kahlefeldt Second at World Championship opener.

In a controversial finish Giant Triathlete Brad Kahlefeldt places second at the season opener to the new World Championship series race In Tongyeong South Korea.
Brad was just pipped for the win in a finish that took race stewards over two hours to rule on.
Here’s what Brad had to say about his race.
“The swim was again very rough and came out with a nice black eye. The bike course had a few climbs each lap but I felt good on the bike and wanted to be ready as I knew the run was going to be on from the start. The run course was very twisty and multiple U turns each lap so it was very hard to find good rhythm. I went out hard and pushed the pace along the way with a few athletes looking to catch the break away pack ahead. I felt strong and after surging a few times in the last couple laps I decided to wait for the sprint finish.
Coming onto the home straight I edged past Bevan and he came back at me and passed me with about 60 metres to go, I then surged again to draw level and lost a little footing on the slippery carpet and dove across the line like I scored a try in the NRL.”
After two hours deliberation Brad was awarded second place, a great start to the season in such a close finish.
Brad is now in Europe preparing for the second round of the series to be held in Madrid later this month.
