Multiple Podium Places for Craig and Carl Decker in Windham, NY
Giant MTB pro Adam Craig, who is headed to the Olympics as part of the US Mountain Bike Team, won podium positions in three events over the weekend at the fifth event of the National Mountain Bike Series in Windham, NY. Carl Decker also appeared two times on the reviewing stand.
In the Super D event on Sunday, July 13, Adam Craig showed why he is the US National Champion in this event, placing first. His team mate, Carl Decker, came in fifth.
In the Short Track event, Adam placed third and Carl again completed the podium, placing fifth.
On Saturday, July 12, Adam was narrowly defeated in the Pro Cross Country race right at the finish line. Canadian Mathieu Toulouse of Team Maxxis surged across the line just ahead of Adam in a tight race. Craig, the US National Champion in the XC, was given the same time as Toulouse, but had to settle for second place.
Next weekend, Craig will defend his champions title in the Super D and XC at the US Nationals in Vermont.
