RIDE LIFE, RIDE GIANT, RIDE TO VICTORY!
(June 23, 2008) Three High Road Sports riders scored more victories recently.
In the three-day RaboSter "Zeeuwsche Eilanden" race in Holland, Ina-Yoko Teutenberg of the women’s team won the 2nd and 3rd stages and claimed the overall GC.
Also in Holland, on the final day of the Ster Elektrotoer, sprinter Mark Cavendish crossed the finish line first in the final stage. That gave High Road its second victory in the 5-day event. Tony Martin won the Stage 1 Prologue time trial.
And High Road’s Marco Pinotti has won the Italian national time trial championships for a third time in his career. The 32-year-old stopped the clock for the 33 kilometer course in Montichiari, northern Italy, in 39 minutes 30 seconds, 1 minute and 22 seconds clear of runner-up Luca Celli. Pinotti recently won the final stage time trial of the Giro d’Italia.
