EVERTON FEEL THE BIKE BEAT
Giant support the Everton Foundation London to Paris Cycle Challenge
Giant who recently opened Bike Beat – Giant Stores in Liverpool, are supporting the Everton Foundation as they ride the London to Paris Cycle Challenge in September by providing 20 road bicycles for the event.
The Everton Foundation is a charity that raises funds to provide educational and sporting programmes for people in the local community.
“Our foundation is right at the heart of our club – it’s how we demonstrate, on a day-to-day basis, why we’re ‘The People’s Club’,” said Gary Townsend, The Everton Foundation chief executive.
The ride will see 20 participants from local businesses, including Gary Townsend and Everton F. C. Chief Executive Robert Elstone depart London and ride through the picturesque countryside of the UK and then the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France en-route to Paris, covering 480kms in just four days.
Bike Beat – Giant Stores is located at 29 Parliament Street in Liverpool’s up and coming creative quarter, with recording studios occupying the same historic building and a locally acclaimed tea room, ‘Leaf Tea Shop’ attached to the store; the aptly named Bike Beat – Giant Stores - is right at the heart of this exciting cultural mix.
